Get ready to showcase your skills at the Urban Kickoff Classico, a thrilling 5v5 street soccer tournament in the heart of Astoria, Queens. 

Date: October 26th, 2024

Location: Triborough Bridge Playground B, Astoria, Queens 9AM-4:30PM

Game Format:

– 12 Teams (maximum of 10 players per team; adult men and women of all ages are welcome!)

– 15-minute games – teams are guaranteed at least three games of play. There is no half time and teams can make substitutions as needed. 

– There will be three groups of 4 teams. The top 4 overall teams (based on points, goals for and against) will advance to the semifinals and those winners will advance to the championship match!  

– Players are encouraged to form their own teams or register as a ‘Free Agent’. Free Agents will either be grouped into a team of free agent players or fill in empty slots on existing teams.

Prizes:

1st Place: $1,000 cash prize

2nd Place: Refund of the team registration fee ($300)

3rd Place: $75 bar tab

Fundraising Impact:

While this event has been organized for the love of football, we are also fundraising $15,000 to go to Artists Athletes Activists, a New York based non-profit that has organized free soccer clinics for migrant children and other marginalized communities. All remaining funds from team registrations ($2,300) will go directly to serve the A3FC youth development program, helping underprivileged kids in NYC achieve their dreams through soccer.

Additionally, we are working with sponsors to further support these initiatives.
